BOOGAT, vocaliste québécois s’exprimant en espagnol, représente véritablement l’avenir de la musique latine. Finaliste aux prix Juno (avec le Roberto Lopez Project) et au gala de l’ADISQ, ce jeune MC talentueux fait le pont entre le groove latin et la musique urbaine et électronique. Déjà, il s’est produit en concert dans d’importants festivals internationaux, comme le Festival international de jazz de Montréal,le Small World Music Festival de Toronto et le Festival Sonar, à Barcelone. Au cours des 18 derniers mois, il a lancé deux mixtapes gratuites et un EP, en plus d’avoir collaboré avec des musiciens venant de partout sur la planète. Sa chanson El Alto De La Paz (avec Mati Zundel) a fait partie du palmarès des 100 meilleures chansons de 2011 de NPR et du Washington Post. Son concert explosif insufflera un souffle festif à n’importe quelle situation, aussi bien chez les Latins qu’au sein d’un public élargi.

Boogat est habile pour établir un lien avec le public et communique facilement avec lui pendant ses spectacles. Il est accompagné de Kiko Osorio, un Cubain virtuose des percussions (il a joué avec Los Van Van pendant plusieurs années), d’un choriste et d’un DJ (le producteur de renommée internationale Ghislain Poirier [Ninja Tune], à l’occasion). Son nouvel album ”El Dorado Sunset”, tout en espagnol, fera suite aux trois albums en français qu’il a déjà à son actif. Disponible le 12 février prochain sur étiquette Maisonnette.

BOOGAT is a French Canadian Spanish vocalist who truly represents the future of Latin Music. Nominated at the JUNOs (with Roberto Lopez Project ) and ADISQ, he’s a young talented MC bridging latin groove with urban and electronic music who already played some major international festivals like Montreal Jazz Fest, Toronto Small World Music Festival or Sonar Festival in Barcelona. During the last 18 months he released 2 free mixtapes, 1 EP and many collaborations with musicians from all around the world. His song El Alto De La Paz with Mati Zundel was part of NPR’s and the Washington Post favorite 100 songs of 2011. His explosive live show will turn any situation into a party for both the latin fans and a larger audience.

Boogat is skillful in creating a connection and communicating with the audience during his shows and he plays his repertoire with Kiko Osorio, a virtuoso Cuban percussionist (he played for years with Los Van Van), a back vocal and a dj (sometimes internationally recognized producer Ghislain Poirier (Ninja Tune)).
